Lipilaelo

Lipilaelo is a dedicated special needs teacher who is both deaf and mute, working with hearing-impaired students in his local community. At his school, he leads sports activities and has established a club specifically for deaf children, using physical activity as a means of inclusion, communication, and personal development.

Through OurPitch’s coaching programme and FAZ-E training, Lipilaelo has gained formal coaching knowledge and is working towards his E Licence certification. Having previously had limited exposure to structured sports coaching, he now feels equipped with the skills to teach and coach more effectively. He plans to return to his school and expand his work, using sport as a powerful tool to engage, support, and empower deaf students.

Passionate about accessibility in sport, Dipilio is committed to ensuring that children with hearing impairments have the same opportunities to participate, learn, and excel. With the support of OurPitch, he is transforming his club into a more structured and impactful programme, helping to build confidence and opportunity for the next generation of deaf athletes.
