Chinsali District is the home of the Provincial Headquarters for Muchinga Province and is where the first Zambia’s President, the late Dr. Kenneth Kaunda, was born. As per the 2022 Central Statistics Census, Chinsali’s population is 38,805, with most households surviving on subsistence farming and the seasonal production of hand-crafted products. The district lacks substantial industrial infrastructure and is largely remote, with villages spread out over many hundreds of kilometres. As a result, youth opportunities and access to education are limited.
Between the 14th December to 18th December 2025, OurPitch, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, hosted a FAZ-E License training course for local school teachers and coaches. The training attracted a total of one hundred and fifty-nine (159) male and twenty-eight (28) female participants. In particular, two participants traversed the rough terrain from Chibale in the Lunagwa Vallety crossing flooded streams to attend the course whilst two participants attended from Chama in the Eastern Province which is 209km away.
